Each group included 15 specimens of hemorrhoidal nodes obtained after hemorrhoidectomy in patients with stage III chronic hemorrhoids. In the first group, the effects of exposure at 8 W were studied; in the second — at 9 W; and the third — at 10 W. The exposure was performed via a laser fiber inserted into the engorged hemorrhoidal tissue in a pulsed mode for 3 seconds. After fixation, the samples were stained with hematoxylin and eosin and subjected to morphological analysis.</p> <p>Results. The study revealed that the depth of damage and the nature of morphological changes depended on the applied power. At a power of 8 W, the most pronounced thermal damage was observed, with a depth of up to 4 mm and indistinct boundaries of coagulation necrosis. A power of 9 W caused damage to a depth of 3 mm, while at 10 W the depth was 2 mm with clear boundaries and minimal changes in the surrounding tissues. Macroscopically, a reduction in node mass was recorded, most pronounced in the 8 W group.</p> <p>Conclusions. The study established differences in the depth of thermal damage and the severity of coagulation necrosis. It was shown that laser power significantly affects the depth and extent of tissue changes, which can serve as a basis for selecting laser exposure parameters in clinical practice. Laser exposure with a power of 8 W causes the deepest and most extensive tissue damage to the hemorrhoidal node. Based on morphological data, a power of 8 W at a wavelength of 1560 nm can be recommended for patients with stage III chronic hemorrhoids.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Цель. На основании морфологических данных можно рекомендовать мощность 8 Вт при длине волны 1560 нм, у пациентов с хроническим геморроем третьей стадии.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Hemorrhoids</kwd><kwd>laser ablation</kwd><kwd>morphology</kwd><kwd>coagulation</kwd><kwd>radiation power</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Геморрой</kwd><kwd>лазерная деструкция</kwd><kwd>морфология</kwd><kwd>коагуляция</kwd><kwd>мощность излучения</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Андреев А.Л.
