This article is dedicated to Professor Pavel Ivanovich Pichugin, a distinguished pediatrician, public health organizer, and public figure, Head of the Department of Pediatric Diseases and founder of the first Children's Clinic in the Western Urals. The institution that laid the foundation for organized efforts to combat child mortality in Perm and the Perm Province and played a crucial role in the development of specialized pediatric medical and preventive services for children. It was recognized as exemplary and one of the best clinics in the Soviet Union. It was on February 5, 1922, that, thanks to the tireless energy of Professor Pichugin, his strong civic and professional stance, and his selfless devotion to his work, the history of organized pediatric care in the Western Urals began.
Статья посвящена профессору Павлу Ивановичу Пичугину – выдающемуся педиатру, организатору, общественному деятелю, заведующему кафедрой детских болезней, основателю первой на Западном Урале Детской клиники, послужившей фундаментом организованной борьбы с детской смертностью в Перми и Пермской губернии, сыгравшей огромную роль в развитии специализированной лечебно-профилактической помощи детскому населению, клиники, признанной образцовой, одной из лучших в Советском Союзе. Именно с 5 февраля 1922 г., благодаря неиссякаемой энергии профессора, его твердой гражданской и профессиональной позиции, а также беззаветной преданности своему делу берет отсчет история педиатрической службы на Западном Урале.
